Here is another book review which might be of interest to you budding conservationists. I have just finished reading “Common Ground” by Rob Cowen which records his observations throughout the seasons of a patch of overgrown common close to his new house in Bilton, near Harrogate. He refers to the area as “edge-land” which resonates with where we work since most of our sites are on the edges of estates or villages and have a similar environment. It was an easy and enjoyable read and very relevant to understanding what we do. As with the previously recommended book I came across this in the Forum Library in Norwich.
