Another Road Trip for our Volunteers

Following our three day residency at Swardeston Common during August our volunteers hit the road again to take their expertise to a number of sites around Norwich. We had a variety of tasks to undertake to keep on top of our Summer programme of cutting and clearing to maintain paths at our sites. So, as well as working our wonders at the sites we also had to remember which site to visit on which day! Anyway, it was an opportunity to explore Norwich and its surroundings. A Roundup of Recent Workdays

As well as our longer projects our Volunteers also tackle many shorter, day long jobs, around our patch. This is the time of year when we are between the intense woodland work and the start of the regular path cutting projects and is a time to catch up with the smaller jobs around our sites. Around and About – A Digest of Recent Work Days

Bowthorpe Southern Park

We returned to the site to undertake further work along the new path linking Bowthorpe to Colney and the Norwich Research Park. A new footbridge linking Bowthorpe Southern Park to Colney was completed in September (please see our blog – “A day in the Country and then off to the Pub!” where we reported on how our volunteers had fenced-off a culvert along the path).  Continue reading Around and About – A Digest of Recent Work Days
