We get plenty of opportunity to build things around our patch which we enjoy doing because there is always something solid and tangible to show for our work. Recent workdays have enabled us to practice many of our building skills and fix and create structures to the benefit of our sites and the people that use them. More Fencing

Our last three work days have been spent at Bowthorpe’s Southern Park building fences and a kissing gate. The mains water supply to Bowthorpe has been upgraded with a new feed from Colney cutting a swathe through Southern Park. Temporary fences were installed around the work area and the completion of this provided an opportunity for the Fringe Project to reconfigure the fenced area to better manage the grazing on the site. Bowthorpe Southern Park

We returned to the site to undertake further work along the new path linking Bowthorpe to Colney and the Norwich Research Park. A new footbridge linking Bowthorpe Southern Park to Colney was completed in September (please see our blog – “A day in the Country and then off to the Pub!” where we reported on how our volunteers had fenced-off a culvert along the path).  Continue reading Around and About – A Digest of Recent Work Days
