Today at Coopers Wood which is off Sandy Lane in Lakenham, we had to replace some of the damaged and broken board walk, most of which had been in place for approaching 20 years.
The weather man said it was going to rain today, and we were not let down with this information. We all got a good soaking, but nobody complained.
We set about our tasks of removing the old boards, cutting the new ones to size, nailing them into position and then topping this with chicken wire, which prevents walkers slipping in wet conditions.
Another down-pour finished off our day, but our work did look well done.
